My client was a 20-something fashionista socialite. She lives in NYC as a fashion merchandiser. She is always on the go and is completely plugged in to the social media and networking cloud. My task was to sell a rotary phone to her, not as an accessory, but as a functioning tool in her daily life.

Shortened Creative Brief:
What do we want them to think?
                  Rotary Phones are the most reliable out of the landline family. They also force you to focus. Since there is a cord, you must sit down to use it, and therefore are not distracted by moving around. People nowadays, especially our target audience, are always on the go and never sit down to take a breath. With our rotary phones, these people can sit and focus on the task at hand and therefore be more thorough and efficient in the tasks they must complete.
 
Why should they think this?
                  Not only can you rely on it’s dialing abilities, you can always count on rotary phones to be charged and ready to go anytime you need them, because they don’t need a charger or batteries to function. Also, rotary phones must be plugged into the wall, therefore forcing the user to sit down and really focus on what they are doing, or whom they are talking to.
 
What is our message?
                  Stay Focused.
                  Everyone tries to be focused, but there are a plethora of distractions anytime we go anywhere. With our rotary phones, we are promoting the fact that when you use one, you’re focused.
